Mitä tapahtui oikeasti:
Toinen maailmansota alkoi 1.9.1939 kun Saksa hyökkäsi Puolaan. Tällöin Saksa ja Neuvostoliitto olivat sotilasliitossa keskenään (Molotov-Ribbentrop-sopimus 23.8.1939).
Neuvostoliitto miehitti Puolan itäosat 17.9.1939 alkaen.
Stalin ja Hitler pitivät yhteisen voitonparaatin Puolan kukistumisen kunniaksi.
Hitler ja Stalin olivat sopineet Suomen kuuluvan Neuvostoliiton etupiiriin ja seurauksena oli talvisota. Talvisodan jälkeen vuonna 1940 Stalin suunnitteli uudelleen Suomen miehitystä. Tämä pakotti Suomen turvautumaan Saksan apuun, koska Ruotsi oli hylännyt Suomen ja Suomi tarvitsi sekä aseita että elintarvikkeita. Onko tämä niin vaikea ymmärtää.
